I built this site – and the Tampa Bay Property Owner App – to put that tool in your hands, with the knowledge base behind it that makes it actually work.

Growing up in the Bavarian Alps, I learned something early: speed is not about rushing. It's about knowing your terrain, reading what's ahead, and making the right move before the moment passes. On skis, there's no margin for confusion. You either understand the mountain – or it wins. I carried that lesson with me for decades – all the way to a Ducati with 205 horsepower and a top speed of 300 km/h. One curve misjudged and that's it. The machine doesn't forgive confusion. Neither does a bad property decision.

That same instinct followed me through everything I've done since.

I was selling on eBay before most people knew what eBay was. I managed over a thousand product listings on Amazon – by myself – before "Amazon seller" was even a career. I'm not a programmer. I don't write code and never have. But I've always understood that new tools are just faster ways to do things that matter. Computers, the internet, e-commerce, and now AI – I didn't wait to see what others thought. I jumped in.

Tampa Bay Is Family

I moved to the US in 2001 and spent over a decade in Florida. Since then, I've been going back and forth between Germany and Tampa Bay – and that's not just travel. My middle daughter lives in Clearwater with her husband and our three granddaughters – all girls. My youngest daughter is also in Clearwater with her husband. My oldest is in Los Angeles. Three daughters, three sons-in-law – a Colombian, a Floridian, and a Texan – spread across the country, with roots firmly planted right here in the Tampa Bay area.

Tampa Bay isn't a market I research. It's family.

And my wife Doddi is the quiet engine behind a lot of what happens here. She doesn't write the articles – but she's been part of this from the beginning, and that matters.
